LC 500 - Unresolved Wheel Issue (with Video Clip)
Hi everyone. 2022 LC 500 here with "high performance" brake pads that come with the sport package. Really frustrated here with an ongoing/unresolved issue with my front left wheel. Started about 2 months ago and started occurring on a very random/intermittent basis -- but it was only when making a right-hand turn. Since then, it's gotten progressively worse -- now it does it EVERY time I make a right turn, and today it started doing it very intermittently when I turn left.
It's been to the dealership three times and they either can't replicate it or say it's due to the performance brake pads. FYI, they haven't offered to swap them for the regular pads, and I haven't requested them...yet. I've had two GSFs and a '19 LC -- all three with the performance brake pads, and none of them made this noise. I'm taking it back to the service dept this week but just wanted to see if any of my fellow Lexus / LC enthusiasts here might have some thoughts on what could be causing the issue.
I'd appreciate any thoughts y'all might have.
Thanks!

Someone on the GS forum mentioned a similar issue--had multiple visits back to the dealer service dept and ultimately determined it was the shim that surrounds the brake pad itself.
Tomorrow will be my fourth trip related to this issue, so hopefully this time they can find/repair the true root cause. Would like to hear from anyone else who thinks they might know the possible cause.
Yep! I showed them on my most recent visit (last week) and they said it was the "oh yeah, sport brakes... they tend to make more noise than the standard ones. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it". Sure, they squeak more (these do it constantly), but the ticking noise is not normal. I almost mentioned the TSB about swapping the performance brake pads but I couldn't recall if it included the 2022 model year, so I wanted to confirm before I brought it up. Frustrating when you know something isn't right--and I'm certain the Lexus Master Mechanic who says it's normal wouldn't tolerate it on his vehicle.

Another option is to reach out to corporate and have them review the issue. I've had luck putting forth the facts before them and letting that division conduct the review.

Heard back from the service dept this afternoon. Lead technician determined it was an issue with the rotor. They're going to replace the rotor but the part(s) won't be available until tomorrow. Fingers-crossed it resolves the issue.
I'll follow up to this thread as I learn more.
Thanks!
