I'm actually quite impressed with it.... my only thoughts ( afterthoughts ) are, I probably should have done the same as the GX460 and did two separate amps vs one, the GX460 amps don't ever get hot - as both are mounted under the floor. I may eventually do that, but prior to that, I am having a fan put underneath to blow the hot air out. We put a custom vent into the floor, but it probably needs a little help.

That’s an awesome setup. I thought I had seen a few pics in another thread. That shop did a really good job.

I design my systems, they install them. They've done my 2006 GS300, 1999 RX300, 2014 GX460 and 2015 RC350 prior to the LC. I own an AV company, but used to do car audio decades ago, so I'm not their usual / common client. My projects have been their more "custom" hidden, more higher end installs than the typical factory head unit, add an amp and sub in trunk scenario.

That’s awesome! That explains the detail that went into your system. Did they have any trouble taking the interior apart? I’ve only seen an LC taken apart once at the dealership I worked at and it looked like a time consuming job, especially since they were so new at the time.

taking the interior apart was a task…. Lots of panels, I don’t know how they keep up with it,… but they got it apart and properly put back together

I wanted to do a sub of some kind in my LC but it was gonna have to be in the passenger floorboard in a custom-built enclosure.

I love home audio/theater, though! Just got a Lyngdorf MP-40 a couple months ago. This thing is magic!!!!!

I used to be in the car audio and home theater biz back in the 90s-2000s.

Actually....besides my job I have now that was the only other type of job I have ever had!

all in, I think I was just around $9000, which obviously, it could have been done for less, or even more,... I think it was best value for the type of install and sound equipment I wanted, and it took about a week to complete,.... and obviously, being a "First" there were tweaks that had to happen with the install. For example, the amp being under the floor generated enough heat to cause distortion after long periods of use, so we custom cut a hole into floor and fabricated a heat vent to keep stuff from going into the hole, keep equipment invisible, while letting heat out. I have to take it back ( my fault due to scheduling ) to have the stand alone fan put in above to the amp to suck and blow the heat upward and out of that space. We also had to put some foam between rear ceiling liner and the roof, due to a minor rattle. I had to remove bass *** in front, because the clearance between knee and **** on entry was a problem due to size of cabin vs my GX460.

I'll post a few more pics of the system the way it is now vs then in a few ( gotta move car outside to do )

We removed factory sub, to allow venting into vehicle from trunk, and also lined the doors with SoundSkins sound deadening material. I am in love with the sound now, but absolutely hated it before.
Dang.....I'm curious to hear how good it sounds
