Default Yellow RPM Background Color

I know this will sound weird to some of you, but the RPM of my first batch 03/2017 LC500 doesn’t turn yellow when on sport+ and going above 6K rpm like other LC’s.

I got the carbon edition V8.

Am I missing something? Is this something i can turn on manually? I searched online and found nothing about it

sounds weird to me... you got a picture of what you mean? do you mean that color change to the tach when you get close to 7300rpm?

If so i dont think you can change that unless you start ripping out modules and replacing them with newer ones. Not worth it for that.

Yep, the tach dosn’t change to yellow color at any stage, only turns from white to red when I pass 7K rpm. In 3 years of owning this car I have only seen this yellow color in youtube reviewes! Lol

I agree that it doesn’t worth to do any module changes, I was just wondering if my car have this feature at all and there is a trick to turn it on, possibly software update?! I don’t know

I think I saw this once early on with my 2018. Could it be that the yellow is only used up to a certain amount of break in miles?

I think the color in the RPM display were enhanced on the later model LC's to show yellow. The color on the original 18 model year only displayed black, white & red.

tmill... Thanks for the headup!. Was not aware I could change color on display in any way to show yellow on the
RPM trigger.

it worked!!!! Thanks tmall and everyone else who tried to help!

it was set to 7,300K assuming that this is the max rev that I set so the car doesn’t exceed. Now i got the yellow color like everyone else 😁

its not a color change, its an activation of turning yellow after exceeding certain RPM’s. Check page 89 of the car manual to set it up
