I dont think anyone intended anything mean-spiritedly. While it may not be for me, I appreciate what you've done with your LC. In some ways it actually draws the eye to the lines/design of the LC itself.
I will say I especially like the rocker panel extensions/aero, especially to protect this lovely machine's flanks. I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on them myself because I dont want to add a front splitter and feel like the rocker aero would look odd without it to balance them out. I have PPF protecting her flanks for now All your work looks clean and well done!
I've actually considered doing a thunderbirds-inspired vinyl setup on top of my PPF. It wouldnt be permanent but would be fun to take to the air shows for a couple years at least. However I may catch flack being a USAF veteran not USN and most certainly not a pilot (in my dreams!).
At the end of the day the only thing that matters is that the owner enjoys the car. A shame we couldnt chat on the 2nd but hopefully we can get a sizeable hill country LC gathering organized soon!
Here's a few pics of side skirts with no front lip. IMO you get used to it and avoid the headache consumable that is a front lip, at least if you drive your car more than a few thousand miles a year.
agreed. And I learned that if you don’t have anything nice to say, keep it to yourself. I don’t put energy and passion into my car to have it referred to as a misfire. That’s not what these forums are for and it’s disrespectful.
Cheers.
Clearly, you are correct on all counts and I apologize. The only thing that matters is your or anyone else's vision and satisfaction. Thank you for calling-me-out and forcing me to face violating some personal principles which needed refreshing.. Usually anonymous people are involved in ill-advised internet statements. In this case turns out it's a forum member I respect, and hits closer to home. In neither case was my remark acceptable as I double-down for the future. Thanks again, apologies, and happy motoring.

Honestly hadnt noticed from your prior pics. You're right the sides arent too shabby without a front splitter. Though I'd likely go for some without winglets like the white LC in my pic above, but painted composite to match the dark chrome trim.
On the lift to get her Show 'n Stow plate bracket properly installed. They took off the plastic skid plate the show n stow bracket mounts onto, to put a nut & washer on the back of the screw to ensure it doesnt strip out from highway speed rattles. Not mandatory but I decided its a good idea.
The one I got for anyone interested. It does fit all model years not just the ones listed on Amazon (2018-2019):
does that lift stop automatically at the top level. Concerned about that hanging light in the ceiling.
The lift goes higher, but I stopped at 56 inches. The first lock stop begins at 20 inches from the floor, and each subsequent stop occurs at 6-inch intervals up to the maximum clearance of 68 inches. 56 inches is plenty for the LC.
