I've been tooling on cars for almost 60 years and this device for bleeding brakes is new to me. Call me old school but this seems like more work and money than really needed. To prevent air from being sucked back in, there is a fool proof method. Simply connect a small piece of rubber tubing to you brake fitting. Take a clear empty water bottle and fill it about 1/4 way with brake fluid. Stick the loose end of the hose down into the fluid. Loosen the bleeder fitting and press on the brake peddle. Watch the air bubbles in the bottle till they stop then tighten the fitting again. Since the hose is always in the fluid, no air can return to the brake caliper. I'm sure there are a hundred of YouTube videos showing the same thing. Good luck.

The LC uses a brake by wire system and didn't want the brake actuator to turn on when stepping on the brake pedal. Try stepping on the pedal with the car off and you'll hear something near the master cylinder start buzzing. Wasn't sure if this would trigger a code or not.

Default Are the brakes suppose to get firmer when

So recently had the dealer swap rotors and brake pads only. I cant tell if the braking is softer than i remember anymore. Since its been a month since i drove it.

One thing i noticed when pumping the brakes and the car is OFF the pedal doesnt get firmer.

When turning the car on and my foot is on the brake pedal. It doesnt sink in it stays the same.

Is this normal for everyones LC?

Yes that is normal for the LC. Unlike the RCF & GSF, the LC uses a sensor to create the feel of brake pressure, then the computer actually controls the brake pressure separately. "Brake-By-Wire"
So that's the point of this thread. That when flushing the brakes, does one need a computer to activate the ABS system to move the new fluid from the reservoir out to each caliper? You can't just build pressure with the pedal, as the computer may not agree it's needed.
Best solutions I've seen so far are the special brake bleeders that attach to and seal the master cylinder reservoir and "push" the brake fluid through the system. Removing the need for the computer.
