I think that you shouldn’t post that title based solely on your opinion.

So you think that Lexus gave up on the car at the same time they invested in bringing the convertible to market?

The LC is a see what we can do kind of product

For reference, for the Gen 2 NSX only 128 were sold in the US in 2020 and Honda isn’t cancelling that

Do you think at some point the LC500 will be discontinued?

This would be so sad but I guess for those who want to get a use one, the use price might drop
over time.

What does everyone think ? At a pace of 1,300, how much update will Lexus put into
future LC500s let along continue to support the platform?
I don't think the LC 500 will get discontinued, as S2000toIS350 wrote, I don't Lexus will invest in a convertible if it will discontinue the model. The rumor is they are also working on a LC F model that will have a 4L Twin Turbo V8 engine outputting 660 HP.

Always wondered why they did not make the LC a 2-seater and save a bunch of weight. Putting two unusable rear seats do not really serve any "real" purpose.

I HOPE it is discontinued.

I would keep my LC 500 Convertible forever knowing that it is going to be worth an an insane amount of money 30 years down the road since they were only produced for 1 MY!

Guys,

My apologies if I was not clear. I love the LC
and think the LC is one of the most drop dead
gorgeous car ever made by Lexus. You always worry
when you see the low production from manufacturers.

I think I haven seen maybe 1 or 2 in my town which
makes them even more exotic. I’m hoping to get one
in a year!

Posting what you "heard"

And the LC was not meant to be a volume seller it's a "halo" car for Lexus

I already own one. I don't worry about production numbers.

Honestly even if the LC was 200K, I still think
it would beat some of the super cars out there at the
high end.

From the Lexus legendary reliability to
the fact they are not that many made, which
other car can compete? A Ferrari or a Lambo
would obviously be the exotic that come to mind
but If they ever need to go to a shop, you are probably
dropping 3-4K for Tuneups and just yearly maintenance

Since 2013 all Ferraris come with transferable 7-year scheduled-maintenance included from the factory.

Yes, I have owned one. and yes, I cross-shopped the California T (test-drove 4 of them) with the LC 500 Convertible I ended up buying.
