When the 2018 models come off their 36 month lease ,expect a supply/demand imbalance to reduce used actual sales prices(not asking prices). By then the economy and political situation may deteriorate so will also be negative. But the LC is such a tiny niche of the used car market that conventional market forces may be irrelevant?

Do the Inspiration Series previous models depreciate hard or soft?

Guys

Waiting to snag a LC off lease

looking for Infra red or the pearl white

I am wondering with such a low monthly
production, will the used car price really drop
much especially if I am Lookung for the performance
PKG 😁

I notice most used LC are not the performance PKG
out there

Funny you mention that (about production numbers). I was just at the dealer on Friday, working out a deal for my gf getting a UX, and I was talking to the sales manager at Lexus asking him about some of their performance vehicles like RC-F, RC-F Track Edition and LC500. I didn't see any on the floor - so I asked him. He said that they haven't had any LC's for several weeks now, due to the pause in production, and there have been people asking to purchase some new ones.

He was telling me that something similar happened with the LF-A back in 2010 - 2012:
- Car started selling initially
- Then they couldn't get one off the lot, so they decreased the pricing slightly to move them (even tho there were only 500 worldwide)
- Now they sell above MSRP years later

I'm not saying that I think the same will happen with the LC, I'm just being hopeful, and maybe the LC will actually hold its value over time....(especially now if the LC-F got slashed from the plans).

I get the feeling with such low production numbers
the used LC500 might not drop too much or
it might be very hard to locate the color and
Performance PKG a new buyer want .

Hope this is not the case

With how things are going, I'd bet you could pick up a low mileage LC500 for 50k at the end of the year.

If CARMAX is already selling 2018's with 30k miles for 60K, that tells you they are worth mid 50k alteast!

That never happened, but it's a good salesman story.

Wow, I see the LC is now going for 60K for 2018
. That is a 40% drop from retail with relatively
low mileage.

As soon as it hits 50K with about 20-30K,
I think I am going to jump in.

I myself am waiting for a 2019. No point to wait for a 2020 or 2021, they cut corners on quality & made more features standard.

What’s New: 2019 Lexus LC 500 / 500h New Standard Features: - Reprogrammed shift logic for 10-speed automatic transmission - Range of Adaptive Variable Suspension expanded for enhanced ride comfort - Enhanced steering, revised VGRS and change to aluminum steering support bracket - Modified rear engine mounts - Apple CarPlay® Compatible - Amazon Alexa integration - Lexus Enform Remote (smart watch and Amazon Alexa skill integration) - Lexus Enform Dynamic Navigation - Dynamic Voice Command - Lexus Enform Wi-Fi

I'd be interested to know as well. I haven't read any complaints on here from other 2020+ owners.

They switched from semi-analine leather rear seats to Nu-lux junk. I guess the that's the trade off for revised suspension in the 2021 model. What’s New: 2021 Lexus LC 500 / 500h

LC 500/500h

Performance Updates:
  • Reduction of unsprung weight (approx. 22 lbs.)
  • Suspension updates to provide smoother, softer suspension stroke
    • Electronic absorber controls adjusted, bound stopper rigidity optimized
    • Rear stabilizer rigidity increased to improve front turn-in ability
  • Active Cornering Assist (ACA) added
  • LC 500: Update to transmission timing, logic changes
  • LC 500h: Multi-Stage Hybrid System shift timing updated

^^^^Where did you hear this? I don't believe it's true. ASFAK rear seats are leather. Front seats are semi aniline with the Touring Package.

just sat in a 2021 LC 500 with Touring Pkg @ Lexus of Chandler and the rear seats are NOT semi-aniline leather (which is have had in both Lexuses that I’ve owned). I thought they were Nu-Luxe but they may have been just cheap leather. It felt extremely cheap.

(also went and test-drove a 2017 White Ferrari Cali T @ Ferrari of Scottsdale too, today!)

The LC brochures for all years states:

Makes no mention of NuLux.

My rear seats are not ventilated and are not semi aniline, but feel like leather to me.
