First year annual service
My LC500 will be due the annual service this month. I only have 3200 miles on the odometer. I understand the need for the six month oil change routine (not really because I have the dealer use synthetic 5w-30 and I pay the difference) but what about cabin air filters and the rest of the stuff on the annual service schedule? Cabin air filters don't get dirty in 3200 miles. And the car is always garaged. Will the dealership insist on the charges for cabin air filters and the like when I have my service done? Thoughts?
The various "K" services such as 10K, 15K, 30K are documented in the owner's manual and include the
known basics - LOF, tire rotation and sundry chassis checks and tightenings, fluid checks and top offs.
A review of the VIN for recalls or Technical Service Bulletins, a quick wash and vacuum and you're done.
You can always just order ala carte and request just the Oil and forgo the "extras". The 30, 60 90K intervals
do prescribe the cabin and engine filters, brake fluid flush and more. What you ask for will be shown on your
bill and in the Service History (in most cases on Carfax also).
