The Blind Spot Monitor icon that does light up on the mirror surface has two modes.
When a car is in your Blind Spot it lights up solid and there is no tone or sound.
If you engage that side turn signal with a car detected it will change to a fast blink.
It would be nice if the turn signal repeater could be visible to the driver.
This is not enough of an indication your turn signal light is on?
plus the dash plus the tick tock noise? I always put on the signal light when I’m about to turn after waiting for traffic light. I can’t stand the tick tock tick tock tick tock. It drives me crazy.

You cannot see the outside blinker blinking when you are actually driving the car, in the driver's seat, during the day. . . Not sure of the point with you taking your picture in a comparatively dark garage, outside of the car, and well to the left of where you actually need to be to drive. . .let alone the one the ability to see the one on the other side, as sometimes, we do turn right.
Not a big deal, I was just hoping beyond hope that I was missing a setting or something. When you are changing lanes, you are looking to your left or right to ensure the new lane is clear, you naturally have the side mirrors in your line of sight as you start and execute the turn, not the instrument cluster. Trust me, once you have have multiple cars with this feature it is nice to have. Also, when you have multiple cars, and all the ones you drive have this feature, except the LC 500, then it causes you to think if you have you blinker on or not, as there is no indication in the mirror like all the other cars. . .

I had never noticed that the turn signal in the housing wrapped around as shown in the photos. I suppose this improves its visibility to cars approaching from the rear; but I can confirm, that even so, it is not visible to the driver either left or right mirror in my case. I do get your point and think it's valid to bring to the forum in case you were "missing a setting".
Look at all that room in there for a led on the inner black trim.
These are some of the better options I found to tap into the existing side marker wires. I’m not sure about the brightness, though, having it right by the mirror could cause glare and it might be obnoxious to see out of the corner of your eye. A diffused light would be better, but I haven’t come across anything.
