Yes, up to 2023 all LC's had CD Players, they were removed for the 2024 models. I guess Lexus listened to reviewers in videos criticizing "Who the hell use CD's now a days". Well I do, I am 67 years old and have plenty of them since my youth, bought first CD in 1988, I would listen to some CD's occasionally.
I also used them in my GS because the audio quality is better than anything you can get via Bluetooth, and I'm not trying to recatalogue my entire library of songs in digital formats. But now I resign myself to doing it lol

Has anyone investigated if one can be retrofitted? I’m assuming that all of the audio is on a BUS of some sort, so the lack of a plug behind an head unit isn’t a problem. If the software is carried over from other Lexus models, it’s possible that the code is already in there, and you may just need to flip a toggle switch in some dealer coding tool to turn it on, not unlike adding Sat radio, or something like that. (I know that this would be the case for other manufacturers I’ve tinkered with..)
I agree with all of those who say that CDs sound better. That’s just an objective statement, as all of the compression used in digital files, FORGET ABOUT STREAMING, “take out the frequencies that don’t matter.” While largely true unless you’re a dog or have a great subwoofer, some of them matter if you really want the full spectrum. Bluetooth just makes significantly worse.
It is just Doug's opinion about the info system, I wanted 2024 LC500 but I wanted also the integrated screen into the Dash, CD player (have lots of CD's) and the clock so I ended up buying certified used LC instead. If Lexus just upgraded the Camera to 360, improved screen resolution and updated interface in addition to keeping everything as is, I would have bought the 2024.
I did the same..my plan was to buy a 2024 in Sept 2024, but when I saw the tacked on the 2024 display in Sept 2023, I rushed and found a new 2023 LC Convertible 2 states away in the exact color combo and loaded with all options, of course I purchased it. Im very happy with my decision. I had the track pad in my LS460, so the LC track pad was not an issue for me. I was fortunate to find what I was looking for that was relativity close by. I do wish my 23 had the 360 camera, but it was worth the tradeoff to get the better dash layout IMO. I also like having the CD player, especially vs the plastic empty shell... I was really surprised Lexus did not finish the dash properly.

dude is an excellent driver. Where I live in N. Ca I was waiting for the inevitable deer to jump in front of car or the stealthy CHP off in the bushes on a blind curve in the shade.
Yup it boggles the mind, my guess is because of the inclusion of wireless carplay/AA. The problem is, they removed it and replaced it with......nothing. They just covered where it would have gone with plastic.
Pulled out my ripper and rip some more into lossless Wave. Put this in USB and see how the ML truly sound.
so far, I have not been very impressed with the ML with using Tidal and wireless carplay(Bluetooth). Radio sounds like **** also.
TBH, the ML in my GSF sounded a lot better.
I love how he puts his hand up as if he isn't the one in the wrong 🤣
I see it as he was frustrated that the other car overreacted by coming to a complete stop for no reason and then allowed/encouraged the LC to proceed. Many think this is a careful or kind gesture but a) if he had just continued on as he was supposed to the delay would have been shorter and b) the LC driver was baited into accepting liability for proceeding when he did not have the right of way, even though the other driver allowed him to proceed.

True I suppose it could be that as he had already stopped, presumably to let the car in the roadway continue who then instead slowed down for him.
As they say, be predictable on the road, don't try to be nice.
This is PEAK Lexus! The Refreshed 2024 Lexus LC is (somehow) Even BETTER! - Car Confections
If you do not own the 2024, cover your ears . They mention that Lexus has finally corrected their biggest flaw in the past. This is of course referring to the updated infotainment system.
