LC video thread
Well the Porsche 911 is certainly a different driving experience compared with the LC 500. I believe that after living with his 911 for about a year he genuinely misses his LC 500. On a day to day and overall driving experience basis he wouldn’t be the first to realize the LC 500 is actually more enjoyable and fun as a street car.

I remember his glowing review of our LC while at the factory and lauding hand craft, fitment etc and his everlasting praise. Then came the harsh bashing and now this reverent praise. Respect his credentials, if correct, but not his integrity. Sorry.

Honestly I understand your skepticism. He did 3 undeniably glowing reviews of the LC 500. I suspect that I’m in the minority here. Last year he basically said that the LC 500 steering feel is numb/ light compared with the more tactile 911 (Not wrong necessarily, just his assessment). However after living with the 911 certainly he could realize what it lacks compared to his former LC 500. He may have discovered the grass in fact isn’t greener on the other side of that hill. A case of “absence makes the heart grow fonder”. Anyway that’s my view from afar. in a nutshell he likes the LC 500 more.😁

I can’t believe how much more money that base 911 is. What are you paying for here ?!? cheap plasticky piano black plastic ? Ugh.
both inside and out, that 911 is boring.
don’t care if it’s faster. If I wanted speed I would have gotten an EV and a fraction of the cost of both of these cars. Experience, good looks, and build quality are the reason you buy these special cars. If you just wanted a fast tool, you could have gotten a model 3 performance for half the price and even less used.

Really, for me, it's about the use case. Each of us has not only different preferences, but also a different use case. For me, doing regular high-speed schleps along the Jersey Turnpike, with city and country road driving at either end, I cannot think of a better solution than an LC500 - possibly the Alpina B8, but that's in a different size and price bracket. The Carrera is a great car, but for slightly shorter distances, ideally on well-paved twisty roads. For instance, if I was going on a tour of the German/Austrian/Italian alps, I might prefer the Carrera - although, an LC500 convertible with the top down would also be a right giggle, with the engine note bouncing off the rocks....
In the comment section of this video there is a good amount positive feedback regarding the LC 500. I thought that the Porsche 911 fans would dominate the responses given their much higher number of owners.
