Default Accuracy of VIN Decoder?

Aloha,
Hoping someone can speak to the MSRP accuracy on the VIN decoder. Surprisingly, two 2022 LC coupes have shown up at our local Lexus dealership and one is Mica with only 1,700 miles...my preferred color but difficult to locate anywhere used. When I punch in the VIN (JTHLP5AY5NA105479), I see an MSRP of $93,150. But, the Mica the dealership has is a "Bespoke Edition" and further research indicates those models went for in the $98k range. So...just interested in any opinions on if the VIN decoder MSRP could be off. I did request the original window sticker from the dealership via email and the dealerhsip email reply was courteous but only contained additional pics of the car with an invite to come in and take a test drive. I responded kindly with a further clarification and request as to whether they could provide the original window sticker given the car was originally sold at this dealership. So far, no reply. I've already driven the LC (an Inspiration model that someone on this forum had shipped from HI to FL) and know I like it. I just want to have a solid idea on the original sticker price before I go in to try and negotiate a price (currently listed at $93k before fees/taxes and dropped once by about $4k).

While I'm here...may as well also ask if anyone has negotiated the "swapping" of wheels on two LCs at the same dealership. And yes, the tire/wheel sizes are identical. Thanks in advance...the member's knowledge on this forum has been extremely beneficial during a rather extended search for the right used LC. Mahalo

Hey, can you post the VIN decoder you're talking about? I'm considering a '23 bespoke certified that'd like to find which options it has. And also the original MSRP. By the way, the bespoke option is $3,600 extra. The one I'm talking about is a very weird one, with 20" wheels, so seems like the dude used the bespoke to order undesirable options. Ha ha. But it doesn't have Alcantara on the seats, which is what I want, and the hard part to find. Thank you. And it's always better to offer less and get rejected, than offer too much and get accepted, since you could have most likely gone lower. Good luck.

Aloha JC,
Thanks. The VIN decoder is right on this forum.. It is the 4th option on the "Tools" drop down menu.
$3,600 sounds about right on the Bespoke option...which is what leads to me to believe it is not reflected in the decoder MSRP number.

Thank you. Just tried it, and it's pretty much useless. It showed an MSRP of $94,455 for that '23 LC500 coupe, so it obviously does not include the $3,600 bespoke fee, any other options, and not even the destination charge. Plus there's absolutely no specific information about the vehicle anywhere else; just general stats and colors applicable to ALL LCs. The only interesting info I got was the $7,555.00 dealer profit (plus holdback, and additional profit from options). So about 8 grand. Something to consider when negotiating, although I doubt dealers are doing much of that lately.

The vin decoder gives a ballpark price for a base model of whatever vin you supply, it doesn’t know what options any indivdual car is sold with.

I somewhat agree...not a lot of information on the decoder but it was a start. And is why I requested the original window sticker from the dealer. For you, Lexus NA might be able to provide more information. The Lexus dealerships in HI, Canada and a few other regions do not fall under Lexus NA so not sure how much assistance I would get from them for the original window sticker. There are a few on line sites that claim they can provide it for a fee. Agree with you on the negotiating, especially with a car like the LC where there are so few produced (in comparison to say a 911, M4, etc.). But...things could soften just a bit with finance rates at 7-8%. Probably the best thing to do is just walk into the dealership and make the offer I can make...and see what happens. I had hoped to have more original pricing information beforehand.

The edmunds "price and build" feature might still be available for 2022 so you can figure it out if you know all of the options. I don't know that I would use this as a gauge for how much to pay though. The market is the market and the question is more about what you can get a similar car for elsewhere and if this car is exactly what you want, you might just have to pay more for it or wait and hope you can find one later and a few thousand less.
