I am a little late to the thread. That’s a real bummer NiceCars. I can understand the frustration of being close to getting your dream LC and having it slip away due to the pitted wheels. You are correct, it was not meant to be; there will be another LC with your name on it. I can probably search through the post history, but was your desired LC build rare? I am sure you can probably find a similar build with another dealership unless you speced out some crazy option/color combo.

Side note, I actually find the LC ride to be a little on the softer side. I want to feel a little more of the bumps and feel the imperfections of the road surface through the steering wheel. You can tell I am not the traditional Lexus buyer, lol.

Test drive someones 2018....its stiff and sometimes a little to hard of a ride. Once I pay down my 2018 a 2020 or 2021 are in my sights!

i love the ride compromises on my '21. i can tell the difference in comfort (more suspension travel, more floater, smooth, great for highways) vs the other modes.

Not sure how the LC500 compares to an 850i but as someone who has driven multiple 911s over many weeks in multiple countries, the road feel between the 2 cars could not be further apart. And my LC is on dunlop runflats too

I understand the car has already been rejected but can we see some pics of the pitting you saw on the wheels so future buyers know what to look for?

These vehicles come with plastic glued on to the wheels, in this case when the plastic was removed it either pulled off some of the clear coat or they used something to scrape of the plastic that might have been stuck on, as the pitting was in the same shape/size of the glue spots. I asked for the car to be delivered with all interior plastic on, and they removed all exterior plastic but unfortunately left the glue behind and there was lots of it. After I hand washed the car at home, I used some GooGone sprayed on to a soft micro to remove the residual glue (which it did easily) and found the pitting underneath it which we could feel with our fingernails. As mentioned in my newer thread this all worked out for the best as I would not have been happy buying a 23 for cash then discovering all the significant changes for 24, many of which I'd been waiting for,

That definitely doesn't look good but since the issues are limited to the wheels why not take the car and just let them give you a new set of wheels later on? The wheels dont look great but IMO they look fine enough to drive a few weeks while they get you your replacements. Seeing as you were looking forward to the car so much it would be a shame to pass up on one. Unless you want the '24 and it's revised infotainment and don't mind waiting or something

If I really wanted the car I'd have had the dealer fix the wheels, then reclearcoat. Yes, they are pricey wheels but they aren't Rolexs. Any decent body/wheel could quickly have those back to like new.

Yes, they should have offered to swap out the wheels but they offered nothing. Nevertheless that car is long gone, I am now pursuing a 24 with a different dealer.

Good for you NiceCars. You will come out on top and this situation of yours will be a distant memory.
