Hi All-

Just an update. I spoke with lexus corporate 2 days ago regarding the navigation issues and the infamous "iPod Error." According to corporate, a firmware update was released June 27th of 2014, which you all can get for free from the dealer... Please keep comments on this thread limited to your experience with the update once you get it.

Don't mean to stray off topic 561, but does this update address the reboot issue as well?

The Version is V10B8710. Interesting that you got it so far back... the TSIB lists the update on June 26, 2014 from what I just looked up. Check your version number, is the B in there? Maybe you got V10A8710? Most people probably have version V10A8600.

To check version Goto Menu->Setup->General->Software Update->Update

It is not listed as one of the issues addressed in the TSIB, but I assume it will help if you are having issues with reboots.. that was addressed in a previous version of the TSIB.

Most likely yes, goto your dealer, tell them you are having issues with your phone and connecting to the Nav and that a TSIB for navigation issues was UPDATED on June 26th

OP, have you got a TSIB number for the new update? Unless I spoon-feed this information to my dealer, they'll ignore me.

Not to convolute things even further, but I took delivery of my IS350 on June 20th, and I have version V10C8741.

Might actually be a different head unit at this point in the game, what does your manufacturing screen look like?

On a side note I got an "iPod Error" on this firmware today. I had placed a call on the iPhone through the car while listening to music from it, when I hung up the music bombed out. Though I can forgive this somewhat given the dual identity of the device. On a positive note I told the system to start playing the song again and it did! Prior to this once it cratered you had to unplug the USB cable and plug it back it in to get music working again.

Is the system more responsive now?

I just dropped my car off this morning at my local dealer Concord in NorCal and they just called me saying the parts guy couldn't find any new firmwares for Nav generation 8 released from Lexus. I currently am running 8600 of the nav software. Maybe your dealer is beta testing it?

Navigation is a little peppier, but I got a random iPod error yesterday, no outright reboots since this upgrade.
