You can do it. You can also do IS-F conversion on your regular IS. They use the same chasis tho.

you need a harness and to bend a metal tab. go search in the 2IS forum.

Default Do the 2009+ lights fit 06-08?

so are these plug and play? have they created an aftermarket version? i much more prefer the newer tail light.
how much would a conversion cost?

It can be done. I put 2011 tails into my 2006. You just need the new harnesses (should be included), which are plug and play and then you have to either bend or cut a metal tab that's in the way. It'll be obvious what that tab is when you're trying to install since it prevents you from sliding the tail lights into place.

A 2008 owner who put 2011 tails in his car said he didn't have the tab problem, so it might be specific to 2006 and 2007 MY 2IS's.

Maybe, maybe not, as described above. There is no aftermarket version of the 2009+ tails that I'm aware of - there is an eBay aftermarket version of the IS-F tails though. You can buy 2009+ tails from Sewell.
