The flyaudio unit will give you an error that the unit has not been shut down correctly when the car has been started en shut down within a few seconds. Does someone know how this can be solved?
Kenwood DNX8120. It's still the most bang for the buck I've found. Oh yea, and it's bluetooth works amazingly, the ipod interface is ready to go, and it has outputs built in for external amps, a built in multiband EQ, and it can even play non-burned DVD's without them getting stuck. SWEEET! ha

Play some catch up FlyAudio.
WTG Mark!
Hope you open up another thread with pics and details of the install! Interested to see how you incorporate the unit in the IS dash.
Does anyone notice a big decrease in FM radio reception after installing the unit? (compare to the OEM head unit)
Is there an FM antenna that needs to be plugged in during the install like aftermarket units?

Not sure about FM, but I had that problem with AM, and yes it was an antenna plug we forgot to plug into the back of the flyaudio

I was going to recommend checking the antenna plugs. I have had a couple clients who may not have plugged them in completely and they were having poor reception. It is incredibly tight behind the radio, so its definitely easy for the plugs to get moved around.
I have not heard from anyone that the reception is not as good as stock.

The Kenwood is now in, as well as all my amps, subs, and aftermarket speakers, hd tuner, bluetooth, etc. I'll post some pics for y'all to see the install in a bit. Just wanted to let you know it is possible, totally worth it, and gives a much cheaper alternative to the problems and headaches of Fly Audio.
Oh, if anyone is interested, I have an extra Alpine MRP-M500 Mono Block Sub Amp (new) that I didn't end up using.

Glad things worked out for you. I am sure others will be interested in your feedback on your new system. If you are so inclined, please open a new thread with the info so that we can keep this tread on topic (FlyAudio). Much thanks.
