Default Anybody have an IS with underbody panels?

Long ago I remember seeing a photo on the web showing the plastic underbody panels on the bottom of the IS. They cover the lower engine bay as well as the middle and at the rear form a diffuser of sorts. They reduce drag as the car cuts through the air.

Now does anybody have these on an IS purchased in the USA? I was at a dealer just yesterday and not one IS did other than the panels below the engine bay. But there are lots of studs ready to accept those panels...

The US models do not have the mid and rear ones. We only get the front ones.

We do get the rear ones. The only panels the USDM IS doesn't get are the center ones that run between the front and rear wheels, and the Y-shaped cover near the front axle. We have all the rest. The below picture from Tom's shows most of them, including rear one, which most people mistake for the gas tank:

Here's the complete set:

Better aerodynamics = reduced drag. Here's another diagram of the underbody panels the USDM IS includes:

wonder why the USDM Spec IS doesn't have it. Most likely DOT/SAE or NHTSA approval issues?

This would be pretty terrible. Ever look at how scratched up the ones underneath your car are?

All kinds of rocks and road debris would probably crack a CF one.
