Default Magic spray, 3M™ Silicone Lubricant Plus (Wet Type)

$12.00 shipped to your door via FedEX next day. There are many types. Be sure to get the Wet Type.
You guys all know that I've been complaining about my driver's door rattle and sunroof rattle. I got the spray yesterday and used it on the sunroof and door frame as stated in the infintihelp TSB. I also adjusted the door striker as stated in Lexus repair manual. NO MORE RATTLES!!!!!!! This weekend I will do the dash and vent with 3M cloth felt pads. I AM VERY HAPPY. The best $12.00 spent!

Don't have the problem yet but might appear later today . Where do you spray? Door hinges? Moonroof opening? Where exactly on dashboard?

Dj, can you post pics of when you are doing the dash? I'd be very interested in your results. Of course, any other pics would be helpful to any other members experiencing the same issues.

Thanks.

DJ, just FYI

I had lots of squeeks from the door rubber seals on my previous car -BMW325i and the solution was to use something called gummiphlege that BMW sells every2-3 months on those door seals, which is pretty much a long lasting silicone solution. Problem was, BMW last year stopped using that product. The techs were saying that the silicone in the product somehow harmed the rubber pieces and cause premature breakdown. I don't know if it occurs for all silicone sprays or how long that process takes - maybe 1, 5 or even 10 years. just FYI. But if it works for now great! Glad you finally found a solution to your issues! Now you don't have to sell the car right? BTW, which dealer took your car apart - cuz I need to get some rattles fixed and I don't want to go to the same dealer than jacked up your car. Thx

You beat me to it. Silicone will break down certain materials over time.

Silicone is a band-aid. They used to spray the instrument cluster in my crappy Pontiac with it 15 years ago to help stop rattles (temporarily). I'd rather skip the band-aid and have the rattles repaired properly.

Silicone spray will also discolor some plastics, and it's messy. No thanks.

no offense DJ, but in light of recent events I'd rather buy the stuff for twice the price somewhere else than buy it at a place called "KNIFE AND GUN"

I went to Marin Lexus. They were very nice, but nice doesn't fix rattles.

Anyone noticed that the sunroof doesn't rattle when it rains??? Although silicone may destroy the rubber. I don't think this one will because it is recommended by Lexus & Infiniti in their repair manual. In the manual, it states not the use any other silicone sprays.

When our car was fresh from the factory like mine. They applied a lubricant on all the rubber seals around doors and sunroof. Anyone noticed that??
