If you're getting flicker from the wedge bulbs, there are one of two things that are happening. 1) Poor connection/contact with the bulb with the socket, 2) LED wedge bulb is of poor quality.
Nope, not confused. I changed both my DRL's and my parking lights out. When you order the DRL conversion from VLED's they also tell you to order a module that boosts the DRL's to full power all the time. This is due to flickering when they are on as DRL's and not high beams. I actually tried it without the module and presto, they flickered, though Chikken has the same bulbs and he said his did not.

The parking/city/wedge bulbs are also LED's, but they require no module. I'l include another pic just so you know I'm talking about the DRL's.

These are my DRL's, running at full wattage with the module installed. I think Btwanky's pics might have been of his parking lights, but these are my DRL's.

Ahhh gotcha. I stand corrected.

That looks really nice. How does it work now that you've lost full intesity of your high beams despite the fact we have a bi-xenon headlamp system?

You know, I was a little concerned about that when I got them. I've been pleasantly surprised at how bright the LED's are when you are using them as High Beams. I've run on dark roads at night, and didn't notice too much of a difference from the stock High Beams.

^^ I see what both of you guys are saying...

To sum it up, none of the OP's pics (btwanky) show an illuminated DRL Bulb..
My guess is they were either turned off at the dealer or his post#2 pic was taken with the car off or the car on with P-brake engaged..
He sure did change his city light/parking light (194 wedge bulbs)

mm767cap - when you engage the HighBeams, do your DRL LED Bulbs produce more light or do they just fire up to the full power with module as shown in your picture.?

Thanks
Joe Z

Hey Joe,

They run at full wattage regardless of whether they are operating as DRL's or High Beams. There is no change thanks to the module.

Yeah take a look! I really like mine. SUCKS that you have to go back in though if you decide to change them out. If it makes you feel any better, I had to go in twice too. I changed out the PL's and the DRL's, and then found out about the module and had to go back in and add it to the DRL's. I really like the end result though. Worth the effort.

Does the module cost extra $ ??

Does it fit all inside the bulb access panel? or does it plug into the DRL ignitor??

No trouble at all. Yes, I believe it is $20 for the two modules. They plug into the bulb on one end and into the wiring harness on the other. There is an approximately 2" x 2" square plastic housing. This does not fit inside the dust cover (as far as I can tell.... I couldn't make it fit). I was able to wedge it down between the silver bracket that holds the light housing and the plastic dust cover. Once its down in there, you can close the dust cover up normally.

I probably didn't describe that correctly, but it's pretty obvious once you are in there what you need to do.

Here's the link to the part.

Maybe its just the image though...

Looks awesome. Which leds do you have for the hi-beam? Please send a link.
Thanks.

Here is the link. I guess they sell the kit together now, which is smart, as you need both the bulbs and the module.
