Recent valley plate cost?

Does anyone fix this as preventive maintenance or are you all only fixing it once it starts to leak? I don't show any signs of a leak right now at 156k miles on my 2008 but wonder if due to age I should just address it. The fact it was mentioned some of te repairs only lasting 15k miles concerns me about touching it before it is an actual issue.

I don't see the point of doing it preventively because it's not like its catastrophic if you do end up with the valley plate at some point.

RR Racing is in Phoenixville west of Philly and they can do the valley plate for around 1100. Possibly cheaper if you bundle it with other work or upgrades.
