Tuner just told me he can tune the trans. That’s a break through.

There are a few people on the FB F group that have been tuned by Loi and they all were happy with it.

A few F owners I follow on IG have gotten their cars tuned by Loi and had nothing but great things to say as well. I would love to see dyno numbers to see where power is being made... also, is he tuning based off every car's mods or is a basic tune? I have no clue...but I'm curious!

You should invite them to our club to spill the beans. We’ve seen a lot of tuners come & go on this platform, unfortunately. It will be great to read up on concrete information. If they can actually tune the transmission.

Does anyone know if we can run 91 with this or do we need at least 95?

iirc he has specific tunes for 91,93,and E30-40

I discussed the tune with Loi. I did not get specific details, but he confirmed it is a full ECU and TCU flash.

So, this tune allows for the torque converter to stay locked after 6800RPM?

If it is truly tunable now, it would have to be. You can see in the video that the RR tuned car left the light spot on time, and the LOI car left late, but then ran him down and turned a high 11. I really want to know if the trans is tuned differently to leave the light. I feel like our cars almost limit power from a dead stop, either on purpose from Toyota, or maybe just as a side effect of the torque converter.

I highly doubt his tune dynos higher numbers, so I’m thinking the difference is the trans.

Keep in mind the car in the video tuned by Loi has shorter gears which affects the acceleration and should be noted. A side by side comparison of a FBO RR tuned and FBO Loi tuned ISF (with the stock gearing) should be ran to see any differences in the tuning solutions from each tune. Also in the comments he says that he ran an 11.65 last year on RR Racings tune.

That's awesome though that he can fully tune the transmission which I'm excited to see what he's done with that specifically compared to how the engineers (@ Aisin) tuned the stock transmission and if they left some room for improvement in the transmission algorithms to increase shift times/performance!

Perfect. It would be even more amazing if we can toggle between these maps to suit our fuel needs in case of not finding a station with e85.

And this is running on what fuel? Impressive numbers on the FBO w/ nitrous!
