Also, if I understood correctly, you can buy a salvage yard ECU and have the keys programed thru software to get the Stock tune back.
That's much easier said than done. Keys don't like to be reregistered once they've been paired to an ECM. I haven't heard of anyone successfully reusing a key on one of these once it has been programmed to an ECM. I tried to do it myself, and it didn't seem likely to be successful had we gone through with the procedure in TIS with a legal subscription to Techstream.

I know of at least 2 who have done it. One recently was 00goobs CL Member. He now has 2 working ECU's. He got a spare ECU from a salvage yard for $100. He did it for the very reason of to load a Tune.
There's some magic going on there unless he took it to a locksmith or deleted all the keys and started fresh with new keys. I guarantee it isn't a simple thing to do.
Not sure why you would need a new ECU to load a stock tune. You just load it via OBD same way as you load a modified tune. Away for a couple weeks so haven't been able to drive the car. Will update next week.
Well, the problem is either the tune or the S/C tensioner assembly. I've been driving for 2 weeks now and cannot get the KCLV lower than 22 during closed loop no matter what I do or try.
Reason I say tensioner is tunes typically don't just stop working whereas a mechanical part can start to degrade or fail. It may be creating just the right frequency or knocking noise that is transmitted through all the hard parts. Nothing audible of course. It's only fair to include it as a possibility since it's not in play anymore.
Rafi told me a bad tensioner or bearing would never cause this issue. I guess that means they are saying the tune is the issue.
Still have yet to get a revised one from them though. They just keep asking for the same things; MAF values, RPM, throttle percentages. I keep sending the values, even log pictures to make it super simple (few times this year already) and that's the last of it.

So I am back to N/A until that happens.
This may also indicate that the car does in fact fight tuning to some degree, which I have suspected. I’m starting to question the tunability of these cars with the current tech.
PLA so it's kind of weak, but it did the job to prove this was the issue and it was free. Not going to be using it long term.
I tried PLA once, it didn't last long before it warped. Your climate is probably a little more mild though. I received some carbon fiber reinforced nylon 6 filament for Christmas, but my printer needs a hot end upgrade to print with it. If I can get it working, I could send you a more permanent solution if you ever needed one for diagnosis again.

I had to have the intake tune adjusted. It took me a few attempts to get a response, but once Simon saw it he had a revision back in about 30min. Maybe try emailing service@rr-.... and simon@rr-... at the same time to get a response
FWIW I sent:
Time (sec)
Short term fuel % trim - Bank 1 (%)
Long term fuel % trim - Bank 1 (%)
Short term fuel % trim - Bank 2 (%)
Long term fuel % trim - Bank 2 (%)
Engine RPM (RPM)
Mass air flow rate (lb/min)
O2 sensor lambda (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
O2 sensor lambda (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
I did 2-3minute logs at idle with and without ac, 20mph, 40mph, 80mph, 4th gear WOT pull, the original tune file, and a screenshot of the local weather with pressure etc at the time the logs were taken.
logs were captured using a veepeak obd2 scanner and OBD fusion app

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have emailed them all that information going back to beginning of November. That's kinda what led to this whole going back to stock thing because I wasn't getting anywhere with a modified tune.
