Well this is a challenging situation. I really expected the sensors to make a difference. It’s also not easy to go back to the stock tune for you with your mods, which would sadly be my next consideration in the process of elimination. That or a leak down test. My biggest deficiency is diagnosis though.
Shouldn't be too bad. I can swap the stock injectors back in about 30 minutes then load the stock tune. That should be good enough for driving around in vacuum. I've been trying to get revised tunes from RR for the good part of the year with no luck so at least this way I can rule the tune out of the equation.
Forgot about the larger diameter MAF pipe. Need to source a 76mm MAF tube and rig something up. Those are weeks out from China, so I stuck the airbox back on. Will get the car on jackstands and drive the thing in the air tomorrow.
Don't want to jinx it and get ahead of myself before the "second day startup", but trims are much better and I'm not getting anywhere near the knock feedback as before. Now at least the car is adding in 10% fuel or so vs. trying to take out 20-25% too much fuel.
I was just reading around on this. So at one time I was told by a few that you can't just always depend on splicing like this to work the wire correctly for the sensor signal, because it so sensitive to the wiring carry milliamps/votls, in +/- and just a little off if codes. I remember researching this so years ago and seeing some test where depending on the wire type, gauge, length and other, that it might work. But then it might not work due to the sensitivity. IDK? But I just thought I would mention it.

Well I trust this more than I trust those O2 extension harnesses. There's no other option aside from running aftermarket NGK/NTK sensors which have longer harnesses. So pick your poison
