Hey guys,

Not sure what's going on here, but sometimes my cold starts are a little weird and don't sound like the normal cold starts. This doesn't happen all the time, only once and a while. I'd like to figure out if it's an issue or not.

In this video I startup and turn off the car three times, all with the same result.

*Note, the car never stalls. I'm turning it off and restarting for the purpose of this video.

It almost has a gurgling sound. Maybe excess condensation build up in the exhaust? Have you tried punching the gas to see if you get water spraying out of the tail pipes after cold start up. Also not sure, but it looks like there might be bit of oil burning on the right side.

 

Any CEL? I had the same issue when I installed the RR upgraded koyo radiator and trans cooler. I threw p2111 and just cleared the code and runs fine now

RR tuned intake/tuneSikky v2 headers
Mine sounds exactly like that if I go 2-3 weeks without cranking/driving it. Never a CEL, drives strong/normal, etc! I wouldn't worry at all about it unless it drives funny or throws a CEL.
After the car is warm, are the starts normal sounding?

Nope, no CEL. I let it sit for a few hours and tried again. It started and sounded perfectly normal.

 

Yeah, everything is normal after it warmed up. No CEL's, no performance issues. I'll keep an eye on it, but I won't worry about it. Thanks!

 

Did you try turning it off and on again?
