Got a problem with a front caliper. Bleed screw has stripped out. Any options for repair? If not, what options are out there for replacement, I have only found directly from Lexus so far and they ain't cheap! Anywhere else I should be looking?
I did this to a rear caliper and had to drill out the caliper, cut a new thread into the caliper and purchase a steel bleed adaptor and bleed screw.
It seeped brake fluid through the threads so I used a strong 2 part bondo around the threads and it worked. But I will be replacing the caliper soon.
search bleed screw adaptors.

Thanks!
What do you mean by bleed screw stripped out? Is the head rounded off and you can't unscrew it, or somehow, someone pulled the threads out of the caliper itself?
Stripped typically means threads are gone and a thread repair is in order (Helicoil, Timesert, etc).
Rounded off or rounded out usually means you can't get a grip on the fastener to remove/install it.

Stripped, no threads left in the caliper. Bleed screw removal is not a factor.
Was curious if a repair is do-able and if anyone else has had luck doing so. I've come across some repair kits that are brass npt pugs that you re-tap the calipers for, bleed screw goes into them. Never thought about a helicoil. Since I have to go look it up and may not find the info, what thread/pitch are these bleed screws?
10mm x 1. Length is approximately 10mm, but you could go down to 6mm and still be good, there's barely 6mm of thread on the OEM bleeder. I have 8 factory bleeder screws left over from the Earl's Solobleed installs on my cars. 280022ERL is the part number for the Solobleeders.
If it were mine, I'd take it to a machine shop and have a Time-sert professionally installed. They're way better than Helicoils because they'll never back out on you if they are properly installed.
