So, how much is the brace? I am thinking about adding this to the list of mods to do on my newly acquired 2013 F.

Never mind! Googled it and $282 is the cheapest I see on my initial search. Does anyone know any other cheap sources for these?

So how is it? is the ride quality affected in any major negative way?
Any feedback would be great, keep checking this thread for proper review:-)))

Is there sufficient clearance between the exhaust and the brace?

Most exhaust systems that have a resonator are in that area above the brace.

I have the Tom's rear strut brace, but will be swapping out to the UR 1 piece in the future as I already have their front strut bar.

$282 is a damn good deal, retail on these are $350 or so and they're discontinued. Any cheaper would have to be a used one.

Like I said in my original post I had this on my 250 and absolutely loved it. When going up or down awkward incline at an angle the creaking is gone from the body. The rear end under slalom-like turning is much more responsive and predictably follows the front now. You get more feedback from the rear wheels too. All these things point to the brace working as intended. I don't have a chassis-dyno or a VBox to register what exactly the brace is doing different but, from a driving experience perspective my enjoyment has been substantially raised. It's a shame our cars came with such weak bracing.

The brace was made to work with the ISX50 stock system which has the big resonator like our stock exhausts, clearing is fine but I used polyurethane exhaust hangers to make sure it wouldn't tap.

I doubt it, probably had the steel stamped bracing.

This is the biggest difference that I immediately noticed after the brace was installed. This component helps to reduce the polar moment of inertia which improves initial turn-in and slalom transitions. The higher degree of responsiveness from the chassis and suspension when doing abrupt slalom maneuvers is very apparent with this upgraded brace.

The factory brace was likely a glaring weakness of the 2IS platform when TRD USA originally did their analysis on how to make the ISX50 a track-competent vehicle with the TRD/F-Sport performance parts back in 2007/2008. It's good to hear that with some minor tweaks to the aero panels, this upgrade can be applied to the IS-F as well.

Here are the pictures of them finally trimmed. I probably shouldn't have cut the edge on one (Driver Side) since it actually can flap now so, I'll have to reconnect it with mesh (per the CCS-R).

Thanks for the motivation on this..I ordered one and installed it earlier. One thing to note is how much lower it seems to sit than the OEM bracing pieces. I havent driven my car yet with it on so can't comment on it.
Also, apologies if I'm hi-jacking your thread.
