Default Magnaflow - NO MORE

One of my Hi-Flow Magnaflow cats went out at 23K miles. Melted and turned into a lump that lodged itself at the rear of the cat housing and clogged my left side exhaust. I knew it happened before the clog, lots of rattling, and I did not drive the car until my replacement cats came in. On my way to the shop to have the cats replaced, the F threw a CEL with a code. I stopped, on the side of the freeway, and erased it. But when I restarted, I was still in ultra limp mode. I could not go above 40MPH.

I replaced them with Vibrant GESI cats, expensive, but they wont let me down the way the Magnaflows did.

I can vouch for GESI cats they are quality and won't fail like the ceramic core cats!

Wow I actually was going to install those yesterday, then I ended up didn't.
May be I should look at GESI instead too.
Thank you Lou.

I just went back and edited my first post. The cats actually lasted 23K miles, not the 32K miles I originally posted. The reason for the error was that this was actually my second set of Magnaflow cats, installed with my PPE LT EL headers and Dual Mode exhaust. The first set, MPN 59905 was installed with my original PPE UL headers and my modified stock exhaust. I ran that setup 9K miles. Sorry for the error, I discovered it when I rechecked my records.

Lou, the magnaflow 59905 and 99675 are not the high-flow 200 cell units.
Just wondering why you did not go with 59956 (2.5 inch applications) or 59955 (2.25 inch applications) cats?

It was my understanding they were. I ran Dynos with them.

I have the same ones in on my FBO/tuned F. I've got about 12k/2.5 years on mine so hoping for another 12k/2.5 years which would be nice.
