DIY: Cleaning the Blue ISF Steering Wheel Stitching
Hello everyone!
Here is a super short and effective method to revitalize the color in your ISF's steering wheel stitching. Supplies: 1. Cheap Regular/Electric Toothbrush ($0.99/$4.97 @ Walmart) 2. Carpet/Upholstery Cleaner - I used the red 22oz. Resolve spray bottle ($3.97 @ Walmart) 3. Warm Water 4. Shot Glass or Small Cup/Bowl/Dish 5. Paper Towels Take the cleaner and spray 2 sprays in the shot glass. Fill the rest up with warm water. Dip your toothbrush in the glass, put it on the stitching, and lightly scrub in a circular motion. I found the cheapest electric toothbrush Walmart had ($4.97) and it worked well. Will come in handy for other cleaning tasks, too. Wipe off the residual cleaner and water, let it air dry. Nice, definitely looks better. I'll have to give this a shot, thanks for the info!

Wow what a difference. I wonder how dirty the stitching is elsewhere on the car?

Well done!

Wow, what a difference. Thanks for this great idea!

All in all this took only 15 minutes from start to finish for the whole wheel. I wonder how long it will last! I imagine in the 132000 miles my car has gone, this probably was never done.

impressive results.

i wonder if the same results could be had with a regular tooth brush.....
