A 2010 plus carries a premium, a 2011 even higher, and 12-14 are really sought after and therefore very expensive.

If I were in your shoes, I’d buy a high mileage 08-09. Still great cars. Just no LSD, tougher suspension and less tech. My 08 tech is dated compared to my 13, but it isn’t earth shattering.

look for 120k or so miles. Anything below 100k still will depreciate. Americans fear 100k. Lexuses don’t have issues running 300k, so you will be fine. Happy searching! Don’t be a stranger after you buy.

To OP... by a 10 year old IS350. They don’t depreciate nearly as much and I argue they are over 80% of an ISF anyway. Stock for stock, 0-60 is practically a tie. I have one, it hasn’t depreciated much in 20 months and 16000 miles. I paid 16500 for it with like 35k on it. Now it has 50k and I could probably get like 15k. Mine only depreciated since it hit the 10 year mark.

Stop selling your cars if your trying to be money savvy.... why are you constantly flipping them? Do you just get bored? Your issue is not the car you buy,it’s your life style. You have chosen a very expensive hobby.

Buy a car you love and drive it into the ground. Max out your 401K match. Buy a house that costs significantly less than you can afford by bank standards. Put it on a 15 year loan. Save half your extra money. Retire young.
80% of an ISF?! I'd argue that it isn't 50% of the ISF, especially performance wise. TOTALLY different car....not even close to 80%. He'll be disappointed if he gets a 350 then rides in/drives an F. Better spend the extra $10-20k upfront....

to your last line:
but if this car isn’t a good deal and since Carmax doesn’t haggle, why would anyone else want it haha 😂

Because some people don't and won't care about getting a "good deal", they'll just want a '12+ F. Plus CarMax has good warranties. Some people won't care if the car is $45k, if they want it, they'll get it.

I agree to disagree. Stock for stock, they are similar to me in many respects when driving around town. I’d argue the 350 is peppier in normal city driving due to the gearing. Ride and interior can be altered for relatively cheap. Above 50 the F is a totally different car, and especially when modified. But is it worth spending the extra 10-20 grand just to cruise around town a bit and sell in 2 years? Probably not. Look at the specs for an 08 350 and an 08 ISF. 0-60 and quarter mile aren’t drastically different.

I own both, and daily the 350. My F has header and exhaust. My 350 ran a 13.72 and my F ran a 12.65. I spent a lot of money to go one second faster. It’s worth it to me, but to many people it would not be.

If I didn't already own one, I'd buy this one in a second. Plenty of headroom for the helmet!

Look's like he is nearby if anybody wants me to take a look for them. I'm not in the market but looks to be a seller that has realistic expectations on price

if mine was paid off, I’d buy that one just to race based on the helmet alone lol. I’m 5’9 and have to contort to put my helmet on.... no idea how tall guys do it. Good bless being average.

1.1 seconds is 11 car lengths in the 1/4 mile....that's a DRASTIC difference.
I comtemplated going from my IS300 to an is350 or to an F. The is350 was about 1.5 faster than the is300 and the F about 1.5 seconds faster than the 350....that 1.5 sec difference between the 300 and 350 felt DRASTICALLY different......so if I was getting the same difference between the 350 and F, I was gunna be ALL SMILES.....and I have been 😎.
0-30/40 the is350 is strong, definitely. But anything higher, the F drags it. And I'm sure no one would buy an F to just cruise around town at 35-40 mph....the 250 would suffice if so.

part of my opinion is my old personality. I drive pretty slowly around town. At the drag strip I ring its neck, but I have had enough tickets and bent rims in indy to take it easy.

the LSD does kick in regularly on take off though, I love feeling it kick out a little in 1st.
