So is this not another stage to the kit you sell? I’m curious what it costs to go from NA to 650 whp. Does this overspin the supercharger, and if so, any plans for a larger SC kit?

we are planning on doing a larger SC in the future, but that would require forged internals for long term reliability.

Assuming your engine is in good shape, you are looking at about $14k in parts and install to get to 650.

im guessing an engine in good shape can handle 650 whp, but may eventually suffer a catastrophic failure?

That's not a bad price considering the results. Good job!

The weak point of the stock engine are the hypereutectic case pistons. If you get detonation worst thing that will happen is you will crack a ringland, which is not a catestrophic failure. Now if you continue to stomp on it with a cracked ringland, eventually the piston will start to disintegrate, but that would be a stupid thing to do.

Hello Rafi,
Jason Frantz posted on social media he’s having issues with 3-4 shifts. It shifts fine at cruising load, but anything over 50% it slips pretty bad. Do you think we’re reaching the limits of the sock transmission? I know his ISF had to go through an engine rebuild. Would there be any options for transmission rebuilds? Jason already went ahead and purchased another transmission.

dont know the track in particular but dragway I assume is a dragstrip and the other is a road course... aka straight line 1/4 mile vs turns/corners/laps

Correct Dragway is a straight 1/4 mile drag and Speedway is the road course.

I guess my phrasing was misleading, I mean are they both at the same location at Fontana?

14K includes install? How much is just the kit shipped? I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty. Granted, I’ve seen these kits. It’s not as easy if an install as the average SC. Very little room.

step 1) navigate to www.rr-racing.com
step 2) click lexus is-f
step 3) click on supercharger
step 4) select options and add supercharger to cart
step 5) begin checkout
step 6) enter your zip code in the shipping estimator
yep thats how easy it was to find out how much it cost to get the kit shipped.
