Default ISF finally eligible for sticky dash panel replacement as of Oct 1, 2018

Per a contact on the IS Freaks FB page, ISF owners should be eligible and getting mailers starting next week. Not sure who/what states but I am sure dealer would know more. Good news for sticky dash owners! Luckily mine hasn't had that issue yet, but who knows..Shout out to Tyler S for the news!

I don't have any of those melting/scathing issues, can I still get the replacement as a preventative measure?

After holding off for a couple of years, I bought new door panels and a dash pad two weeks ago. I hope they reimburse.

Great news!

My dash and door panels haven't become sticky over the years, but they aren't the best texture to feel. Almost feels like there's a film of something on them.

So this is an official recall? How did this get pushed to happen?

How can we get a Valley Plate recall? Should we start a petition?

Do you think they are using DMV records for stuff like this or do you think we need to be registered with Lexus somehow/somewhere to ensure we get on the mailing list? I bought my car second hand (from a private seller) and have never taken it to a dealer so unless they used DMV records I'm not sure they would have my info or even know I own the car.

My friend had his dash replaced by Toyota on his 2004 Forerunner like a year ago. Out of the blue they sent him a recall notice and did the work even though the truck was 12-13 years old.

If you are having this issue and don't receive a letter. I believe you can still go to the dealership and get it accomplished.

What the he** are they making their interior panels from that this issue spans so many models and so many years?? You would think Toyota would’ve fixed it by now.
