New it the F family
I'm a die hard Toyota fan. I've had countless different models. I recently sold my 7 year project, which was a 76 FJ40 I put a Tundra drivetrain in. I really enjoyed it, but it was time to move on.
Here she is in Moab 2 months ago...
About a year and a half ago, I saw an older lady pull into the gas station next to my house with a very nice ISF... gray with red interior. I couldn't stop staring at it! She said she bought it new, and loved it because the looks and the sound it made. We chatted for a moment, and I gave her my card and told her if she's ever wanting to sell, give me a call.
About 6 months ago, I saw her again... same gas station. I said 'Hey, do you remember me?' She did! She still had my business card in her purse! She wasn't ready to sell though, so we left it at that.
About 2 months ago, I saw her again... same gas station. 'Ready to sell yet?'. 'Almost, I'm shopping for an SUB' she says.... 'I'll call you when I'm ready'
Shortly after that, I sold my FJ40 so it was time to buy another toy. I realized I never got the ladies contact number and I didn't know exactly where she lived. I began driving by that gas station on the way from and to my house every day, every time I left. A couple months go by and no sign of her or the ISF.... until this last Sunday. My friend called and needed to barrow a tool. We had company in town and he didn't want to interrupt, so he asked me to meet him at the gas station by my house. Low and behold, the gray ISF was there!! I gave my friend the tool and patiently waited for the lady to come outside. She immediately recognized me and I told her I had been driving past the gas station hoping to see her car.
Come to find out, she lives about two miles from me. That afternoon, I went to her house and drove the car. I knew I wanted it. We agreed on a price and I paid for it yesterday! She's all mine now!
2012, bone stock. All original paint. 1 owner. Just turned 40,000 miles. Dealer serviced. Always garage.
Can't wait to have some fun with it!

Welcome. Mind sharing the price? We like to know each other’s business.... actually I think we all like to watch market values on these.

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the F club! Such a rare color combo you have there, and what great fortune to have found one taken care of so well. Given how much you were eyeing this particular one, I know you'll take even greater care. Enjoy her to the fullest!

I was curious if it was a rare color combo... I hadn't seen any others that were gray on red, but then again, I haven't really seen many others.
