Default Two stage throttle / peddle?
While driving I noticed that my throttle peddle will actually go down further in a higher gear. It may be concidence, but I looked at the plate behind the peddle (the stopper), and when the car is off it actually moves. Is mine just loose, or do we have two stages tuned into our throttle to eliminate lower gear wheelspin?

What does it do, other than keeping me from full throttle part of the time?

ELI5: When the button is fully pressed, the car's transmission and motor know you mean business and will make everything happen as fast as possible.

Yeah when you actually hit the kick down button the car will go to the lowest gear possible. Basically the car knows playtime is over

I found that thread after I posted. Well I now know that I haven’t been flooring my car. Maybe it’ll go faster than 12.75 !
