Default Thinking of swapping my '10 IS-F

I'm loving the new LC500 and thinking of swapping my '10 IS-F (11,500mi). But I'm having a hard time convincing myself to get rid of this fun beauty

The LC500 is nice, but I don't think I would get rid of the ISF for it. For the nearly 100K price tag, there are several other cars I would be scoping out instead. Just my .02

I'll start be saying this.... I never by brand new cars due to the amount of depreciation that takes place in the first year. I always buy well maintained cars that are 1-3 years old with lower miles. With that being said, I personally would be looking at the following cars that fall within the $100K (+/-) realm.

1) GTR
2) Porsche Turbo (911) This one may be a little bit tough to keep close to the 100K mark, but definitely possible.
3) Audi R8
4)Audi RS7 (If I wanted a 4-door)

These are just the first ones that come to mind. And again, none of these would be new... they would all be 1-3 years old in great condition. Everyone will have their opinion, but these are the ones that I personally would be looking at.
And like I said before, I don't have anything against the LC500, I actually think its a nice looking car. I just think that for the 100K price tag, you should get a lot more bang for your buck.

My neighbor bought his wife an LC500. She loves it. I'll say no more and I've driven it.

Two completely different cars. I could probably buy another car if I wished, but all things considered, I'm not sure I could find a better performance car than an IS F. I guess I've always been impressed by cars that are way better and faster than they look.

Having been able to drive the LC around the track, I definitely felt its weight. Acceleration was pretty smooth and ten gears feels like overkill for even the track. That being said, I think it makes a great cruiser vehicle with the wife or just going out for a long drive. Yes, it shares the same engine as the IS F and puts out power as the the RC F and GS F, but this isn't the performance coupe that some people were thinking. It exudes luxury inside and out, and in my opinion creates a wonderful status symbol without spending the LFA-type money. Golf clubs fit nicely in the trunk, showing up to business meetings will be pretty eye-catching, and if nothing else, there is still that massive 5.0L V8 to growl when you really need that speed fix. If money were no object, yeah, there are other bang for your your buck vehicles for that $100k price tag; but if one doesn't care about the performance side too much and just wants a carefree driving feel with an imposing presence on the roads, this car fits the bill nicely. I will say this, I wouldn't sell my IS F to purchase an LC, but certainly I would consider it as a complementary vehicle for the stable (wife permitting, of course).

Best of luck either way you choose to go!

11.5K miles, you plan to not drive the LC500 either?

I honestly wouldn't do it. I recently purchased a '10 IS-F that was traded in on an LC500. I personally don't see a reason to go that route.

For the price of an LC, I would consider a lightly used 911 S.

Too many cars in different locations keeps the mileage down. The IS-F is in CT and does not go out in winter.
The car, although a '10, was purchased NEW in 2012.

I have a Boxster and I prefer the mid-engine position to the rear end bias.
