Holy Christ what have you been doing to your car before hand? Trying washing it without the brillo pad now... ;)

Looks great now!

semnosNSX 03-26-18 09:15 PM

Nizzy 03-27-18 07:13 PM

Every single color will show swirls like that... it just happens to be easier to see on darker, non-metallic paints.

Regardless of color, proper care should be taken when washing and drying your vehicle to ensure it NEVER looks like this one did in the "before" photos. That things has lived a rough life.

Hate to see the before shots, but really glad it was restored back to a near showroom finish. Black shows everything, but as the detailing guru above says- it's all about proper care during each wash and detail. Ten years old and this thing still looks better than most cars on the roads today.

Congrats!

I too got a full paint correction this last week and then coated mine with Fynlabs Ceramic Plus over the weekend. Love it. Hate the maintenance of black, so hope this helps.

Looks stunning and congrats!

That shop did a great job with the paint restoration but here's a few products for you to use to help maintain that great Shine without having to head back to a detailer. All you need a few things a good quality microfiber Duster quick detailer waterless spray cleaner spray wax and some quality microfiber towels. There are some differences between the waterless spray cleaner and quick detailer spray cleaner is used for heavy contaminant, quick detailers use for like in contaminants like fingerprints like dust etc. Spray wax is used to enhance your existing wax and bring back that shine. If you get some products for you to take a look at it just choose what you're comfortable with. zOne more thing never avoid circular motion that put put set circular pattern into paint especially in black cars. Use a diagonal or horizontal motion when applying product and removing products. Good luck.

Can't wait to do the same on my black F in the 2 weeks!!! Great job!!

Note to everyone
Don't use your back scratcher or head scratcher on your car, the car does not appreciate the massage

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like the op had the shop wet sand the car. I think the scratches shown are part of the paintwork he had done.

And I'm on board with all the products above except that California duster. Those things trap all the contaminates they remove and are abrasive once they're used.
