Wow. I would never pay that for gear oil. You could have bought a gallon of Red Line Shockproof for half that, and Shockproof is one of the best diff oils out there. Even the OS Giken super special OS250R diff oil (which I think is stupid expensive) is only $50 a liter.

Why would you use LSD gear oil for a differential that doesn't use a clutch? It's a Torsen, it's all gears inside that unit. Last I want in there is to add a friction modifier.

Interesting price on the LX fluid in the USA, it's quite a bit cheaper in Canada.

Fam you overpaid for that fluid.
and by overpaid .. i mean threw money down the drain.
amsoil, and redline had you covered for wayyyyyy less than what you shelled out .. and their fluids are world class.
but as usual .. if your happy, I'm happy, and the diff is happy.

I would because I have the Giken diff, but simply from a cost perspective, the Toyota stuff is ridiculously priced compared to some of the most expensive stuff out there. It reminds me of the infamous V-160 oil for the Getrag in the MkIV Supra. $50 a liter for what amounts to Dexron II (if you do all the homework on the specs). All because Toyota distributed it.
