My rears are rolled from a previous 275/35 19x10.5+45 rear setup that still didn’t fit(went to 275/30) so I can’t say if it’s necessary for mine. Fronts have different round head bolts instead of the bulkier ones.

I haven't done any fender mods yet.

Here's a quick snapshot after lowering a bit all the way around over the weekend. Still no rubbing/issues, and the car feels great.

LexusfanVA has 18x9.5 +38 wheels on his car which is tad more aggressive than the set up you guys are asking about. It looks like +40 will work as well.

^saw his setup but different wheels. Nt03s have that extra ring. Not sure if that gets in the way.

Be very careful with lowering the chassis. You could very easily make the car feel better but drive slower.

Could you elaborate on this Lobuxracer?

Happy to say I happen to find a used set of these locally in the *exact* fitment Mike has, in great shape to boot... Shockingly, I'm paying $900 and they even include some Direzza ZII Star Spec's with a bit of life left. So stoked! Pictures to follow in a few weeks once they go on with the Penskes.

Also, I have some Hoosier R7's ready to go on from usedracetires.com as soon as the Direzza's wear out.

And Lobux has covered this point ad naseum on some other threads... But in summary, changing offsets from stock fitment negatively impacts your roll center, which can hurt performance, but it's debatable how much. All I know is if RR Racing and FIGS track mules are both w/Penskes, both lowered, and both using the same square wheel/tire sizes promoted here... you're probably in good shape to follow their lead.

Here's a good primer on it, btw: http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticl...ll-center.aspx

Yes indeed, that's a pretty decent article on the subject. Arbitrarily lowering can make the car slower, sometimes a lot slower, and as I have said many times, Supra owners who tracked their cars found that lowering hurt, not helped, and this was the fast guys like Andi Baritchi who placed 4th and 6th in One Lap. I learned it tuning mini-sprint cars.

So I wanted to get the same specs in wheel and tire as this, but the wheels I want only come in 22 or 38 offset. Would a 38 offset still work in these specs on stock heigh/suspension ?

As someone else on this thread stated, many of us have +40's on otherwise identical fitment and have no issues... It's only 2mm difference, so +38's should also work great.

Nice setup Mikersoft and everyone else who threw up pictures on the thread. I've been contemplating the "downgrade" to 18s on my IS-F. The meaty tires looks might nice!
