Can you comment on install time needed from start to finish ?

Thanks!

~1.5 hours (or less) with a lift & mechanic that is familiar with the car.

Does it make any sense to do headers and these at the same time? Subframe needs to be removed for both, correct?

You might as well change out the mounts if you are doing headers. The labor for mounts is "built in" the header install.

Absolutely... and installing the mounts at the same time ensures you won't have any clearance issues, especially if you got some "other" brand headers which tend to have many more fitment issues

BTW, we offer additional discount for our mounts with header purchase.

So guys I was one of the 80% with a least one blown mount ... however these mounts are awesome so far haven’t had a chance to really get on it with all the wet roads and all but I’ll be back in a few days to make an official review ...one thing I can note is I really don’t feel any nvm at idle

I reached out to a local shop to have the new mounts installed and they quoted me 6-13 hours. Does anyone have a recommendation for an experienced shop in Portland, OR?

Did the local shop see the installation procedure shown in attached file?

I gave them the attached instructions, but I think they were wanting to try and install the mounts without removing the subframe.

6-13 hours is comical. Doesn't even take that long doing the headers. Avoid that shop at all cost because clearly they are clowns.

No way to not remove the subframe for install.

Granted I am a professional, but it took me 70 minutes replacing the motor mounts and my harmonic balancer. 2.5 hours is a reasonable charge for it.

Installed these over the weekend, another great product from RR Racing, they are extremely well crafted.

I was experiencing a clunking noise on occasion while accelerating and had an excessive amount of movement from the engine when reving and holding the brake. My driver side mount was completely loose and causing the problems. Looking at the design of the oe mounts its no wonder one was broken,
I suspect many isf owners have loose mounts and would benefit from upgrading them.

As their video shows the new mounts eliminate virtually any movement and I do not notice any increase in nvh while idling or driving, just for an instant during engine start and shut down.

Update: now that I have torqued the lower bolt to 123ftlbs there is a slight vibration at idle, still none while driving.

An added bonus for me is the throttle response is better and shifting is more direct without the excessive movement in the engine.

Question for RR Racing, what is the torque spec for the bottom mount bolt to the sub frame?

I saw that elsewhere, but seemed like a lot of of torque for the bolt size... Thanks for confirming

So I purchased the RR-Racing Power upgrade kit (headers/intake/tune) with mounts.

My question is, is there any "customizing" to the engine mount bracket assemblies like other headers require for clearance?
do i need anything from the old mounts (rubber boot cover that sits on top of the mount)?

Or is the PPE headers/RR-racing mount combo straight bolt on?
