Seeing as how I had an extremely light tint on my old S40 and got pulled over twice for them, I’d say you are always at risk to a bored cop.

They cited that the lights have to emit red in color when lit, and have some sort of red when not lit. The only saving grace we have are the bumper reflectors. Could claim that as your required unlit red.

Love the updated look of these lights but from all the videos and pics I've seen so far, the brake lights seem to be not very bright at all, specially with lights on? It's the only thing holding me back from getting some, as I don't want to get rear ended due to poor brake ligts lol. With all these phone addicted morons on the road I need some bright *** brake lights. Specially with a WALD (style) spoiler planned - which doesn't have a positive effect on 3rd brake light visability either..

Not sure what videos/pictures you've seen but the brake lights are by no means poor or a safety issue, I would say OEM level. TBH, this is the first time I've heard this thought.

Those vland headlights actually look good; even the light output and cutoff. Looks to be a viable option for oem replacement.

I think I am the only one that doesn’t like these bubbly rear lights. Maybe I would in person, but I don’t like how they change the profile of the rear.

Nope I’m still right there with ya. I love everything about them except for the fact that the bulge changes the narrowing of the trunk. Which sucks because they are so much better than the factory lights.

Based on the other thread, I wouldn’t bother. That light output is worse than our crappy projectors.
