VLand 2IS Taillights (Similar to 78Works & Spec-Ds)

Found out by mistake today that my IS350 has factory rear fog lights, but was even more surprised to discover that the Vland tail lights actually support that feature by illuminating the reverse lamps red when the rear fog lights are switched on. My car is a 2006 IS350 Version S, RHD Japanese import. My brother has the same spec and year but doesn't have the rear fog lights, so it must have been an optional cold climate package (as it also has the heated front windscreen wipers). It's a feature that I'll never use here in New Zealand, but I thought it was cool that these tail lights support it. Would be interested to know if rear fog lights were a standard feature on US-Spec cars.

Hmmm, nice!
Hopefully these will work for my U.K. spec IS F in terms of the built in fog light/reverse light. Saves me having to re-wire my LED bumper reflectors, as it’s a legal requirement over here.
Fingers crossed!
Should be able to pick my set up from a mate next month, can’t wait!

After looking at the eBay listings again, a number of sellers are now listing the rear fog light feature on their auctions. Was never mentioned when I bought mine when they first came out, but good to see that some sellers are using it as a selling point.

Ooh! Interested find. I don't recall seeing anything about fog with my purchase either.

From the pictures these seem to be the best looking aftermarket tail lights thus far for the 2IS!
I'm tempted to buy them, but what bugs me is the excessive slope of the vertical part of the running lights and the turn signals. I know it's intended to copy the look of the 3IS but that angle just seems odd somehow on our cars.
Maybe one day they'll come out with a design that mimics the 2019 ES, with 3 bars and a straighter vertical angle... I'd buy that:

Recently went from my SpecD to the Vland. Vland SpecD LED tail light comparison for Lexus 2IS IS250 IS350 ISF IS-F
SpecD Smoked Red on left, Vland smoked red on right. Have had the Specd tails for 1.5 years, zero issues, tons of compliments. No condensation issues even going through touches auto car wash 3x a week. Love the “L” brake signal. A bit dark when off so to avoid cop issues I always had them on. I once got pulled(doing 59 in a 55) over in MD and the cop thought I smoked my lenses, ended up getting me for 30% tinted windows..
Vland are newer style and while they bulge a little on the sides, the design off and on is cleaner, and you get a yellow turn signal. Not a fan of brake light but overall more of a “3IS” look. Car looks more aggressive when off I feel. Vland were also plug and play, very easy. Not that SpecD were difficult to wire with directions, just took an extra 20 minutes. Will see how the Vland compare with reverse lights at night and in quality. Not sure why the SpecD look more orange, they are definitely red in person. This was filmed with iPhone 8+.

I had Spec-D's on my IS350. Absolutely loved the "L" brake light. I like everything else on the Vland's better except the brake light and the side bulge. So because of all that and unable to decide what to buy, I ended up just keeping the OEM lights. lol
Even with a bulge, if Vland came with an "L" brake light, I would have them on the car by now

What about the buldges? To me it looks weird looking from the side or looking close from the trunk. Is it just me or do they really look weird? I want to know because when i look at the lights i cant help but looking at the buldge.
