Well I did it, order has been placed. I had a pretty good back and forth discussion with GetYourWheels and feel pretty confident with the brand now actually. Went with the specs that I posted in the OP and sounds like they should give me a good bit of concavity front and rear and won't really be all that hard to fit. They aren't THAT aggressive compared to many on here that shoe horned off the shelf wheels with way too low of offsets.

Will update in a couple months when they arrive

We'll get those up once the wheels are in! I currently have a 996 Porsche Turbo set in the back in 18" with the 18X8.5 at 18 lbs and the 18X11.5 at 21 lbs but these are much higher offsets.

Excited to see the final results for you FFM.

Although forged they’re actually a 2 piece welded together in the center and then cleaned up really effectively. By essentially only making half a mono block and welding an inner barrel they’re able to offer the wheels at such a competitive price point.
Also most US forged companies use 3 different US manufacturers for their forged blanks so there is a quality difference when it comes to the forgings themselves.
Wheels look clean and if you’re happy with them that’s all that matters.

Got any references to backup that information? I’m actually curious.

But at this point these cost what a flow form wheel does, weigh less, and fully customizable. Hard to complain. Their standard brushed finishes also cost hundreds extra per wheel from the few companies I inquired about.

I’ll get a much closer inspection of them tomorrow.

I’m in the industry.

The labor on brushing or or anything is vastly less expensive overseas, hard for any US manufacturer to compete when it comes to custom finishes like that. Definitely awesome for the consumer.

Ahh gotcha. I’ve had a few sets done a similar way. My SSR Type C’s were two piece welded as were my old IForged.

2 piece as in a the face was welded to the barrel and you had a lip? Or 2 piece like the VS where the face and half the barrel is cut and it’s welded to make a mono block look?

Barrel welded to the backside of the face. The IForged were supposed to look like a 3 piece, hated them, came with my NSX. The SSR were similar welded barrel to a face to look like a standard monoblock.

Curious, how is it cheaper to forge 2 halves then weld and clean it up vs a 1 piece forged process? Whats your opinion on the strength of the VS? With the design and options to customize, these wheels seem like a great buy!

They came early! So far, finish is pretty damn amazing pics hardly do it justice. Concavity front and rear is exactly what I was hoping for. Hard to picture it too for some reason which is why I think I was nervous to see them in person based off the pics. Also, can’t even weigh them because my scale doesn’t register below 20lbs

Nice! I can't wait to see them on your car. Off topic comment, but I have also had an E46 M3 and an Acura TL. Both great cars.
