Default Front Suspension Rattling - 2012 F

Lately I've noticed louder rattling noises only when going over bumps or driving on a rough road.
I just hit 100k and I'm guessing something needs to be replaced.... Bushings? Shocks?

Has anyone else experienced rattle noise around the 100k mark on their car?
If so what did you do to fix it? OEM or aftermarket parts?

During the cold weather I had a sound coming from my front driver side suspension and I asked my dealer to check it out - they said everything was fine.

No suspension rattle. All I hear over very rough roads is a sunroof rattle

The thumping noise that shocks make is a bit louder when cold but otherwise my 2012 seems ok. I only have a bit over 30K.

BTW are shocks covered under the drivetrain warranty?

i had a knocking/thumping noise coming from the rear right of the car when going over bumps. turned out the seal on the shock was bad. lexus ended up replacing the shock under warranty.

My 2012 w/ 56k makes a sway bar end link tapping noise over certain road imperfections. Its also on the driver's side front. It started about 1k miles ago and i haven't gotten to it yet but i suspect it's either a bad front strut or strut mount as i already checked the sway bar end links and they look amd feel like new.

I'll be replacing both the strut and the mount in the spring with new oem parts. I actually did a search here and found several people with the same issue.

We don't have struts on these cars. The likelihood of the shock mounts creating noise is relatively small. I'd bet on swaybar bushings long before I'd bet on the shock mounts or bushings.

Good to know. I suspect i have a bad shock ... The swaybar end links and bushings look like new and feel tight. Will let you guys know what the results are when I get around to it this spring.

I bet you its your exhaust. Check behind the faux tips and see if there is any contact between the metal on the inside of the tips and the tip of the exhaust. I have this issue on my rear left side.

My 2012 with 52K does not exhibit any un-usual noises at all.

A quick update ... it is not the exhaust. Fairly certain it's a bad shock absorber on the front driver's side. I also have a wheel bearing starting to hum so that'll be taken care of at the same time. Unfortunately, the humming seems to be coming from the front passenger side. Not thrilled at the cost of a new wheel hub either ... nearly $500 incl. tax for the part. I called the dealer for a quick quote on the bearing and was told $1,000. No thanks.

Does it sound like this? I also have a rubbing noise coming from what I thought was the center console but had a passenger riding with me and told me it was coming from the passenger front wheels.

In the case of the video it might be the wheel hub do to the fact that its a constant noise implying its thru rotation.
But to the op it sounds to me like it has to be maybe a worn shock or blown shock, worn/blown shocks tend to sound like a thumping noise when going over hard bumps, sway bar links loose or broken sound more like 2 metals smashing against each other and don't need a bump to cause noise and the sound is so bad that the car sounds like its falling apart lol
