Default New owner with a strange odor

Still learning my F and not sure its normal, a search didnt reveal much on this issue. WOT fills the cabin with a odor that takes a while to dissipate, is this normal? I did find a recall about gas fumes but this doesn't smell like exhaust or gas fumes and according to the dealership I purchased from theres no outstanding recalls. Car is stock 09

I was experiencing the same issue as you when I first got my F. Flooring it would make the whole cabin stink. Later found out it had to do with deteriorated trunk flaps. Take a look at this thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ot-solved.html

I had the same issue when I first got my car. Could be a few things.... Either the trunk flaps and, or the car has been driven gently "never floored" and 1 of the 4 cats are clogged up. Drive it like its intended to be driven and check the flaps.

Based on the title of this thread, I thought the owner had a strange odor. I was going to recommend a shower....

Lol thought about opening with a joke but knew posters would probably run with it regardless....

I believe the exhaust is all original. Thanks for the input on this, has to go back to Kuni for a headlight repair in the next week or so and Ill have them investigate this issue further, for now its just a minor annoyance.
