Ditto ^^^^ can you get an explanation for the grounding (spike protection ) on the car as the battery would be disconnected.

I believe it's done when welding.

Required to protect the ECUs. Lexus is very clear about this in the collision repair manual.

I have personally seen what happens when a shop didn't have things grounded correctly and welded through a wire or 2 in a harness.

6-8 body/engine ECU's later and a new harness and it was back on the road. It wasn't cheap.

Grounding matters.

Ouch! I bet the harness was a pretty penny.

Hello ISF owners!!
This is Benny I was in a car accident December 12,2017. Took my car to the body and the car is still there!!! I have called went there and they keep telling me next Friday, next Friday, next Friday. I’m getting tired of the body shop with the BS and I don’t know what to do anymore. Original time frame for repair was 16 days and now it’s going on 90! Insurance company is telling me that they can’t do anything since I choose the body shop which is bull**** because I have the right to pick my own shop. I am going there this Friday to see what progress if any was made on the car. The reason I’m writing this is because I need advice as to what I should do? Should I pull the car? Threaten with legal action? I just don’t know. Thanks for any input or advice!

Man, I feel for you.
I've learned that whenever your car is being worked on at the body shop, you've gotta tell them to 'Take your time'. Seeing the pictures of the amount of work that has to be done, I wouldn't want them rushing it. If you can, just on the insurance company to keep that rental up for you.

Glad to see the body getting back in order, but the way they're treating your interior make me cringe!

Sorry I cannot offer any advice other than to keep on them. Good luck.
