Default Ebay CF trunks?

I've been browsing ebay for some carbon fiber parts and I ran across these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/06-13-Lexus-...RYfuA7&vxp=mtr
My first question is, would this fit the IS-F ? Does the IS-F use the same trunk as the 250 and 350? Also with the price so low I can't imagine the quality being that great either. Has anyone ever heard of this maker?

VIS is more well known but my biggest problem is that I'm upgrading to carbon fiber for the weight savings first and foremost and I have no idea how much weight these save. Any insight would be appreciated!

I can tell you the IS-F/250/350 trunks are all the same, so yes, it would fit. I can't comment on the manufacturer or the quality though.

That is a very good point, they try and get you with the wording. I guess when you say it "contains" carbon fiber it could have 1 strand and it sure contains it alright. So that AF-1 is just pure junk then. That's not surprising considering it's less expensive than OEM.

I purchased a CF spoiler from VIS. I emailed them directly based on an ebay listing I saw & dealt directly through them - maybe you should try this. They can probably answer your questions with more precision. I get a lot of compliments on my spoiler. When having PDR done a few weeks back, the guy doing the job told me it's the "best CF he's ever seen." So I'm a fan of VIS.

The design looks like the replica of OutcastGarage one. Fitment of that one is 8.5/10.

I had the first one. Don't do it.

Reviving a semi-old thread of mine... I found another interesting listing:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/261876896105?ul_noapp=true
The pictures are exactly like the old Ventross carbon fiber trunk that somehow disappeared. When I say "exactly" I mean they use the exact same fking pictures. If that's true then this is a no-brainer for me. A one piece CF trunk with the emblem insert. This is my favorite style as it saves weight and I get to keep the rear emblem. However I have no idea of its quality... obviously. I did send the seller a message because I was curious. Here is their response:

Hello my friend,

thanks for you contact us before you do the payment,
it is similar with the OEM trunk, the difference is the material, so the fitment has no problems.
our trunk should has no holes for the license plate or the backup camera, you should drill it if you need the holes.
all of the pictures we have are in the link, I'm sorry we don't have more pictures.Best Regards

What do you guys think? worth a gamble? Because honestly I don't have money to just blow around and if this is too unicorny then I'm just gonna go with Seibon of VIS.

So does anyone know whether the Seibon offering has all the holes needed for trunk lock, reversing camera etc? I only ask as it’s not a small amount of money, so having to then cut into virgin fresh carbon fibre isn’t my idea of fun!

I have a trunk carbon panel I’m using now that also needs to be cut to accommodate the reverse camera and trunk lock. I’ll get it done carefully with my trusty Dremmel (measure 10 times, cut once!), but it’s a worry if it then doesn’t line up/fit right.....

Other issue is where the OEM panel has clips, the carbon version has threaded bolts that need a nut and washer on the inside of the trunk frame. Sounds easy, but access will be a pig in the corners I reckon.

Just thought I’d share as it’s kind of on topic!
