Does this look right? (Front Suspension)
Maybe its just my OCD... But I noticed this the other day, where the driver side has exposed threads:
On the passenger side its sitting flush without any threads exposed? What's going on?
Thanks

Please show us the right side too.
Why does the boot, clamp, and inner tie rod look so clean compared to the rest of the chassis? What work was done recently?
If the steering wheel is centered and the car turns equally sharp both left and right (watch steering wheel angle too), then I suspect all is well. That is assuming the right side looks to have a near equal amount of threads exposed. That said, this is normal. See attached - dirty 350..

I see threads on both sides of mine. I would be very concerned if I didn't see any threads.

Thanks. Maybe the tech just adjusted one side to align everything? I'll bring this in to see what's going on, especially since I had recent front suspension components replaced.

Just wondering why you had to have your steering rack replaced? Haven't heard of anyone needing to replace it yet. What symptom did you have where it needed to be replaced? TIA

Few of us were reporting 'notching' steering feel when returning the wheel to center (or going past center in the opposite direction). Its noticeable during very slow transitions like on large banking turns at highway speeds.
Some guys upgrade to the 2010+ ECU to resolve, but the TSB for this recommends changing the steering rack and pinion. I was fortunate to have an extended warranty for this, because it's definitely not cheap.
