Default ISF to Type R

I bought a type R for my son, but driving this car to the twisties OMG its a different animal. The driving dynamics is phenominal. Cant believe its a civic, lol
I cant complain the power inspite of i have SC in F.

The car handled well in testing from what I read. I see a lot of people that complained about the price for a Civic etc....but for years fans wanted a boosted Civic from factory and here it is. I personally like it for what it is. The aftermarket will find the limits of stock motor/trans/drivetrain very soon. I won't be surprised to see it get to 500rwhp or beyond on stock components.

Very nice! Great gift for you son

I might have killed myself back in the day if I drove anything with forced induction..... thankfully I started out when I was 16 with a 1973 Oldsmobile Omega for $500

Curious what Honda left on the table with the turbo and internals? I'm sure the aftermarket is already at it trying to squeeze it for everything it can muster!

if you're an isf owner of a certain age and don't want an itr, you're doing it wrong.

Good on you the style might be a bit over the top for some, but its yours, I bought the ISF for V8 grunt and the way it drove and RWD, are you going to keep the ISF cheers and enjoy.

Congratulations on the new addition to your stable. And great to hear of another young person who'll get to appreciate a manual transmission.

I personally like the styling, they're distinctive in person, esp. the center exhaust tips. And being factory, you know the splitter, wing & ducts are functional.

Reviews suggest Honda really got the driving dynamics right, even with the fwd layout. Im intrigued by the type R, but to my eye it looks too overdone with all the wings/vents/etc. but I've only seen pictures - maybe it will translate better in person...

So far most reviews says the car handle pretty neutral, even more so than many RWD cars. Honda Type Rs have never failed at being a driver's car.

Before jumping on this platform, i have the Rcf and M2 (preowned) in mind coz of the price range that stealership add to it. I did my research about the performance of the car in the nurburgring that is better than BMW M2. I drive the R yesterday on the twisties and limit it to only 6500k rpm since it has only 650m on the odometer but omg i never felt like that handling on my F with full of mods. Your right the grunt of the v8 is something you cant pass on.

i wished my dad bought me a new ctr. all i got was a 96 civic hatchback that i swapped different motors into. hahaha. the new ctr is such a cheater car at the track. evasive motorsports took their stock ctr to buttonwillow raceway and laid down a 2:03 lap time.

No kidding right! I had a 95 civic. Swapped in fully built N/A ITR motor. That was a fun car to drive! Can't tell you how many mustang owners were scratching their heads... lol.
