Default Valve seals

im getting some blue smoke on startup and really only on startup so I know it's oil. Im wondering if anyone has ever had to change out any valve seals? Anyone out there with this issue ever? I believe I have narrowed down the issue to most likely valve seals so I don't think I need to debate that issue. Just wondering if this is common or a new issue that's doesn't happen often with our cars.

thanks.

Aren't you running nitrous?........... apologize if your not (maybe it's someone else on the forum I'm thinking of?), but if you are then maybe that's the culprit if your running to high of a shot maybe??

Just throwing some ideas out there as I haven't heard anybody on CL anyway with valve seal issues

cjeck the air control valve on the power steering. they can and will eventually leak in to the intake manifold and cause the smoke at start up

Are you losing oil?

I'm burning a quart per 1000 mile at this point

I blast a lot of smoke out at high rpms And on acceleration people tell me they see a puff.

I was thinking rings or seals on my issues Maybe both.

If it only blows blue smoke on start up and it goes away, leave it alone. My Supra does the same. It's actually good for exhaust valve guide service life.

That's rings, and you're also down on power. Either your break-in was too soft, or you've managed to burn the rings out. It's very unlikely it is seals under those conditions.
