Default Defoulers Needed

I'm looking at getting a Loi tune but per yesterday still no fix for header codes so I would need defoulers. Anyone have a link to ones they've had success with? I've had a hard time finding any angled ones. I was going to ask this in the big Loi tuning thread but saw that got locked for some reason...?

I thought the VF tuning software had a fix for the header codes? What happened to that announcement/progress?

That's what keeps getting said, but no progress as of yesterday according to Loi.

Even if there is, anyone selling it could run afoul of the EPA. If I knew anything about it, I wouldn't post anything anywhere knowing my business would be at risk of incalculable fines.

This is the one recommended by Loi. VF tuner does not have codes delete for reasons @lobuxracer mentioned. I just had mine tuned in-person last week, Loi happened to be in Oregon to dynotune a s/c'ed Forerunner I believe, and he had some spare time to road tune. So, I took the 5 hour trip to meet up with him. My KCLV had been stuck at 17 with my previous tune, even after a couple ECU resets, just couldn't get it to go up. It is now at 22.9 and secondary is at 23.9 after only driving for a couple of days. Transmission also shifts noticeably quicker now.

I ordered the defoulers he recommends just in case I get the codes, but I’ve had these fabspeed ones so they’re what’s on the car now. So far, no codes after about 400 miles since the tune.

Thank you sir. Seeing you get the tune and your review on Facbook was enough to push me to Loi's tune. Unfortunately my headers just arrived so I wasn't able to get tuned when he was in town, I would've loved an in person tune when he was in the PNW, oh well.

I just did ppe headers and getting p0420 and p0430 right away. I also have the LOI tune. I waiting for him to respond but upon reading this he will not be able to clear the light? If I'm reading this correctly. Will defoulers be needed for the primary o2?

Correct. You need defoulers which have iffy results. This is why I haven't bought his tune yet.

Defoulers go on the secondary (downstream) O2’s, not primaries.

OK. So that should eliminate the codes I'm getting? (P0420 & P0430)

Yes. Those are catalyst efficiency codes and the secondary O2 is there to measure this.

I have the same defoulers from landautopartsdo. If you message him on ebay, he can make an invoice for an order. I asked him this a few months ago and he has quite a bit of inventory leftover.

Unfortunately o2 defoulers arent allowed to be listed on ebay & amazon anymore.
