Default Love my ISF on track , but picked up a new track car

Love my ISF on track but not really enough power for me, I have been looking for a a car that would give me at least a semblance of what my single turbo /wide body Supra could do . Settled on the 2017- ZLI only a couple of hundred miles on her but seems like its gonna be a beast on track 650hp/650tq 6 speed , magnetic suspension. big brakes and lots of coolers 11 in all . The ISF will continue duty as my wife's daily driver .

I included a stock photo of the car on track

You could absolutely DD this car the recaro seats are super comfortable and the magnetic suspension in tour mode is supple /combined with stealth mode exhaust quiet and smooth I would opt for the 10 speed auto if I was going to DD this car it actually is quicker than the manual but not as engaging to me

  • Gen III Magnetic Ride Control Dampers: dual coil, magnetorheological fluid, "reads" the road and reacts every inch of travel at 60mph, or every 1/1000 second.
  • Forged 20x10" (Fr), 20x11" (Rr) Wheels
  • Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires: 285/30ZR20 (Fr), 305/30ZR20
  • Performance Traction Management Software, Wet, Dry, Sport 1, Sport 2, Race
  • Custom Launch Control, No-Lift Shift, Burnout Mode, and Active Rev Match (manual-only)
  • Carbon Fiber extractor-style hood vent
  • Full-optioned interior similar to 2SS, with black suede & leather panels, and red stitching accents.
  • Power Recaro seats w/ suede seating surfaces & heat/cooled

Fun Facts
  • The 2017 ZL1 has slightly smaller frontal area than the 2015 ZL1
  • All body shapes, including "overlooked" items like the bumper cover were extensively tested and formed in the wind-tunnel
  • Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires mark the first application of Goodyear's new design...developed specifically for ZL1 and 1LE.
  • Designers and Engineers trimmed the thickness of the front grill during wind-tunnel testing in order to reduce turbulence and increase airflow to the heat exchanges.
  • Red seatbelts are included with the following colors: White, Silver, Red Hot, Nightfall Gray, Black, and Mosaic Black. All other colors get black seat belts.
  • Al Oppenheiser remarked that the new ZL1 achieved levels of speed on the Nurburgring that necessitated using driving lines on track similar to open-wheel racers.
  • The A10 features several "easter eggs". For example, when driving in a highway gear, you can hold the downshift paddle for one second and the transmission will immediately shift into the lowest possible gear for a pass.
  • The manual transmission ratios allows the car to accelerate to 60 mph in first gear.
  • The A10 programming, in "D" includes three different levels of shift calibrations, depending on how hard the driver is pushing the car.

Major Component Origin:
  • All Camaros are assembled in Lansing, MI @ GM Lansing Grand River Assembly (or "LGR")
  • LT4 engines are built at the GM Tonawanda, NY powertrain plant. No ZL1 engines are built in Bowling Green, KY.
  • A10 transmissions are built at the GM Romulus, MI Powertrain plant.
  • All M6 transmissions are built in Queretaro, Mexico by Tremec (whose worldwide headquarters are located in Mexico City, Mexico.)

I want to love it, however sitting in any of the 5th/6th generation Camaros, to me at least, is like looking out of a tank.

I never should have sold my GTO

Good choice sir, I think you will find this beast to be very deadly on the track (not sure about twisty tracks).

Also, your Supra is glorious...one of the classic 90's cars I must have in my collection before I turn 40.

Yep the visibility is limited but the gen 6 is way better than the gen 5 cars. I'm already used to it 6'3" and no problems
